As part of our strategic effort to strengthen leadership and prepare for a new phase of growth, expanding ONUS into international markets and elevating our global presence, we are pleased to officially announce that Mr. Matthew White has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the ONUS Finance ecosystem.
With extensive experience in the international financial landscape, including executive roles at major financial institutions and advisory firms in the United States, Mr. Matthew White, a U.S. citizen, is expected to bring a broad strategic vision and strong executive leadership. His appointment marks a key step in our ambition to make ONUS one of the most widely used digital asset trading platforms in the world.
Before joining ONUS, Mr. Matthew White held several senior executive positions, including:
- Director of Private Equity, Saigon Asset Management (SAM), a fund management and advisory company headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He also served on the Internal Investment Committee Member of Vietnam Equity Holding (VEH), where he oversaw numerous private investments and advisory transactions across sectors, including Health and fitness, F&B, and Insurance, driving successful investment deals in Vietnam.
- Founder/Chief Executive Officer of Nu Advisory Ltd., a corporate finance advisory firm providing cross-border M&A services for companies within Southeast Asia.
- Managing Director of Tano Capital, an Asia-focused alternative PE asset manager based in San Mateo, California.
- Partner at Proprietary Trading Firm in San Francisco, California.
- Founder/Chief Executive Officer of Stanford Capital Partners, a boutique investment bank based in San Francisco, California.
Mr. White’s years of operating a fund management company in Vietnam, with dozens of investment and advisory transactions, have given him deep practical insights into the local legal landscape, business culture, and financial market characteristics. His experience leading numerous cross-border M&A and investment deals, particularly in Southeast Asia, will be a major advantage in supporting ONUS’s global expansion strategy.
Mr. Chien Tran, founder of ONUS, will continue supporting the company as a Technical and Product Advisor. Together with the ONUS Labs team, he will focus on developing new products and solutions in the fields of Blockchain, Web3, and high-performance crypto exchanges for the community. Mr. Steve Jones will also remain as CFO of Vemanti, the parent company of the ONUS ecosystem.
This executive appointment marks an important step in ensuring that ONUS is equipped with a capable leadership team ready to scale into new markets. We remain committed to delivering exceptional value to our customers, partners, and employees while maintaining continuity and driving innovation. The leadership transition will not affect any ONUS product or service operations, ensuring a stable and seamless experience for our users.
