Barclays disclosed its holdings of 2,473,064 shares in BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF, called IBIT, valued at 131.2 million USD. This acquisition was made in the fourth quarter of 2024, a significant move amid the pro-crypto political environment post-election.
With this position, Barclays now ranks among the top 10 investors in IBIT. Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs remains the leading institutional shareholder with more than 24 million shares worth around 1.3 billion USD. This indicates increasing institutional interest in Bitcoin ETFs.
