Canaan, a leading ASIC mining rig manufacturer, unveiled two new Bitcoin mining devices at CES 2025: the Avalon Mini 3 and Avalon Nano 3S. These devices not only mine Bitcoin but also serve as home heaters, introducing a dual-purpose functionality that merges cryptocurrency mining with residential heating.

The Avalon Mini 3 boasts a 37.5 TH/s hashrate and an app-controlled interface, making it energy-efficient while it provides heating. The Avalon Nano 3S offers a lower 6 TH/s hashrate and is designed as an affordable, entry-level option for new Bitcoin miners. Both devices emphasize energy conservation and sustainability.

Canaan’s CEO, NG Zhang, emphasized the company’s commitment to integrating mining with modern lifestyles. The launch reflects the growing interest in sustainable practices within the mining industry.
