Phishing was responsible for 1.05 billion USD of losses, making up nearly half of all losses. Private key thefts accounted for 855.39 million USD across 65 incidents. Ethereum emerged as the most targeted blockchain with 748.69 million USD lost in 2024.

Crypto platforms like Binance Smart Chain and Bitcoin were also significantly affected. Binance Smart Chain followed Ethereum as the second-most targeted while Bitcoin and Tron faced heavy losses totaling 542.7 million USD and 133 million USD, respectively.
