Uphold has restarted its crypto staking services in the UK. The relaunch follows amendments to local laws, allowing for clearer regulations concerning crypto staking. The change came into effect on January 31, 2025, clarifying that staking services do not fall under collective investment schemes.
Uphold’s CEO, Simon McLoughlin, expressed optimism about expanding staking services to Europe and the US by mid-2025. He highlighted the importance of regulatory clarity, suggesting that the forthcoming year could lead to significant advancements in crypto regulations.
