Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ, is returning to Binance after four months in prison. He will take on a larger role focusing on investment activities, transitioning Binance Labs to YZi Labs.

Binance previously faced significant regulatory hurdles, agreeing to pay over $4 billion to the U.S. Department of Justice for violations, including money laundering concerns. Zhao’s return comes amid this shift in focus for the firm.
