India plans to release a crypto discussion paper aimed at defining cryptocurrency policies, after rethinking its previous stance. The Finance Minister has indicated the importance of transparency in crypto regulation, noting that cryptocurrencies are viewed in the context of virtual digital assets.
The paper’s release has faced delays due to changing global attitudes towards cryptos, especially after the G20 meeting. Various governmental bodies, including the Finance Ministry and RBI, are collaborating to finalize the document, with the aim of addressing the needs of the crypto community.
