Garanti BBVA Kripto, a part of Turkey’s Garanti BBVA, announced its collaboration with Bitstamp, a Luxembourg-based crypto exchange, to provide crypto trading services. This newly formed partnership appoints Bitstamp as the main liquidity provider, facilitating the availability of digital assets via its Bitstamp-as-a-Service solution, allowing integration with traditional finance in Turkey.
Bitstamp, known for regulatory compliance, aims to fulfill the need for secure and regulated crypto solutions. It stresses the alignment with Turkish legal frameworks to ease digital asset access for local investors, reflecting an ongoing trend of traditional banks entering the crypto domain by partnering with established exchanges like Bitstamp.
Korcan Abalı, CEO of Garanti BBVA Kripto, highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership, noting Bitstamp’s regulatory expertise. This alliance marks an essential step toward mainstream cryptocurrency acceptance in Turkey, working with MAJOR banks to improve standards of consumer protection and transparency amidst the growing demand for secure trading platforms.
