The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong has flagged 33 additional fraudulent websites posing as HashKey, a licensed crypto trading platform. HashKey has denied any connections to these sites, which mislead users by slightly altering official links.
The SFC has actively tracked suspicious crypto activities since November 2021, identifying a total of 91 platforms. The regulatory response follows significant scams in the market, like the JPEX incident, which reportedly defrauded around 2,000 investors.
