North Korea has become one of the top three holders of Bitcoin globally, thanks to the Lazarus Group, a state-influenced hacking organization responsible for accumulating 13,562 BTC, valued at approximately 1.14 billion USD.
As the U.S. Prepares to establish its Strategic Bitcoin Reserve under President Trump’s Executive Order, it holds 198,109 BTC, worth around 16.71 billion USD, making it the largest government holder of Bitcoin.
The United Kingdom follows with 61,245 BTC, while Bhutan and El Salvador hold lesser amounts of 10,635 BTC and 6,117 BTC, respectively, highlighting North Korea’s significant position in the global landscape.
