Nelk Boys are facing legal action for not fulfilling promises associated with their Metacard NFT project. Filed by Trenton Smith in California, the lawsuit accuses them of raising 23 million USD without delivering the promised perks.
The lawsuit states that intended benefits such as access to celebrity events and merchandise discounts were never fully realized, leading to significant disappointment among NFT holders.
As Metacard NFTs currently trade at a much lower market value compared to the initial sale price of 2,300 USD, the plaintiffs seek restitution and damages, reflecting wider issues within the struggling NFT market.
