Polkadot eyes support for 1,000 parachains in future

The core developers at Polkadot are looking to expand the ecosystem’s parachain limit with the software updates called “Asynchronous backing”.

“Asynchronous backing” will allow Polkadot to support 1,000 parachains and more than 1,000,000 transactions per second.
