On February 3, Russia’s Federal Tax Service confirmed new reporting requirements for crypto miners, who must declare earnings by the 20th of each month. This initiative aligns with Federal Law No. 259-FZ, establishing a regulatory framework for crypto mining and taxation.
Taxpayers can report mining earnings through personal accounts using a qualified electronic signature. The accounts facilitate efficient reporting and compliance with tax obligations, ensuring adherence to regulations concerning cryptocurrency.
The FNS oversees the Register of Miners and Operators, ensuring only eligible participants engage in mining. Individuals with unresolved financial crime convictions are strictly prohibited from mining activities.
