The T3 Financial Crime Unit has frozen 9 million USD stolen from Bybit during a significant hack in February 2025, which resulted in losses of 1.5 billion USD, mainly in Ethereum.

Formed in August 2024, T3FCU collaborates with global law enforcement agencies to combat cryptocurrency crimes, effectively freezing around 101 million USD from scams and money laundering.

To recover stolen funds, Bybit has launched a bounty program offering a 10% reward for tips, although only a small percentage of submitted reports have been genuine.
