Lawmakers in Ukraine plan to finalize a bill that legalizes cryptocurrency by summer 2025, with the main text reportedly ready. Danylo Hetmantsev, head of the Finance Committee, emphasized taxation parity with traditional investments and the absence of special benefits for crypto.

The National Bank of Ukraine may take over crypto regulation temporarily until the National Securities and Stock Market Commission is equipped. Hetmantsev aims to present the draft law for initial reading in the first quarter of 2025.
