US Fed raises interest rates by 0.5%

On Dec.15, the US Federal Reserve announced the final interest rate adjustment in 2022, raising short-term interest rates by 0.5%.

After rallying above $18,000 and peaking since November 9 at $18,387 in the hours leading up to the interest rate announcement, Bitcoin’s price subsequently corrected to $17,700.
