World’s operations in Brazil are currently halted following the National Data Protection Agency’s (ANDP) decision to cease cryptocurrency rewards for biometric data collection. The appeal for extending the operation was denied, and the agency asserted that the rewards could compromise citizens’ free will.
Tools For Humanity, which oversees the World project, acknowledged the ANDP’s ruling. They noted the pause in their services while adapting to the compliance requirements and have committed to presenting proof of halted operations within 10 days.
