Fio Protocol is a platform that improves user experience by simplifying wallet interfaces for all users who are not very familiar with blockchain technology. Fio Protocol, in particular, abstracts a blockchain user’s “Public & Private key” into an “FIO address” – akin to an e-mail address. The Fio Protocol platform lowers the requirement threshold and increases account security, making it easier for users to access Blockchain services via:

• Simplify the concept of Public and Private keys into simple identifiers.
• Despite its simplification, Fio Protocol ensures that all FIO Protocol transactions require a user-controlled FIO private key.
• As sensitive information can be encrypted on the blockchain, ensure user privacy.
• Once integrated into Wallet, Fio Protocol works with any Blockchain and cryptocurrency without requiring integration with those chains.

The Fio Protocol Token (FIO) is the cryptocurrency associated with the Fio Protocol platform. The FIO Token is primarily used for the following purposes:

• Pay domain and address registration fees.
• Pay transaction fees.
• Vote on-chain to choose a Block Producer.
