El Salvador is building a $1 billion Bitcoin City

Nayib Bukele, the President of El Salvador, announced that the country will be building a Bitcoin City during the Latin American Bitcoin and Blockchain Conference. The city will be located in the country’s eastern La Union province, and partly financed by a $1 billion Bitcoin bond issued by Blockstream.
