Horizen is a blockchain system that is interoperable and is powered by a decentralized node infrastructure. Horizen employs a novel sidechain technology known as Zendoo. This sidechain platform is extensible and focuses on data privacy. As a result, Horizen enables businesses and developers to create private or public blockchains quickly.
Successfully launched in May of 2017, Horizen strives to ensure data integrity and privacy through enabling real-world use cases. Horizen’s native cryptocurrency, ZEN, is a mineable PoW coin currently trading on exchanges including Bittrex, Binance, and now ONUS. It plays an equivalent role as a currency payment unit in exchanging transaction values between parties in the Horizen system, as well as being used for the following purposes.
