Stafi (short for Staking Finance) is a project established in October 2018, developed by Tore Zhang, a former software engineer for Alibaba, and Young Liam, founder of Wetez mining pool and Wetez Wallet. Stafi is a DeFi protocol designed to allow users to create liquidity for staked assets.
The Stafi protocol can resolve the conflict between mainnet security and liquidity by issuing the rToken (Reward Token), a token created to provide liquidity for staking assets. In other words, users can stake tokens under the PoS mechanism through Stafi and get the equivalent rToken in return. Users who own rToken can use it to trade while still earning rewards.
Stafi token (FIS) is a utility token of the Stafi platform, operating on the Ethereum platform according to ERC20 standards and used for the following purposes:
