Bitdeer has successfully acquired a site in Alberta for 21.7 million USD, enabling the construction of a natural gas power plant with an approved grid interconnection.

The site will also accommodate a 99-megawatt data center dedicated to Bitcoin mining, aimed at enhancing Bitdeer’s operational capabilities.

With an overall project investment projected at 120 million USD, site preparation for the power plant is slated to commence in the second quarter of 2025, with plans for full energization by the fourth quarter of 2026.
