Information about Chromia (CHR)
Chromia (CHR) is a blockchain platform that combines the technology between Blockchain and Relational Database – Relational Database for decentralized applications, created to solve the scalability problem of decentralized applications (dApps). Chromia launched in May 2019 and was developed by the Sweden-based company Chromiaway AB.
Chromia was conceived to fulfill the shortcomings of existing platforms and is designed to enable a new generation of dApps to expand beyond existing capabilities. Chromia’s goal is to be a platform that allows developers to quickly, efficiently build dApps with higher throughput while enhancing the user experience.
Chromia Token (CHR) is the native token and serves as a medium of exchange within the Chromia network. Specifically, the CHR token is used for the following purposes:
- Users use CHR to pay for dApps in the Chromia network.
- Pay hosting fees.
- Reward nodes.
- Stake to participate in gaining network governance.
- Convert into game tokens to use in that game.

Chromia Innovation Lab launched Incubation Program for 2023
Chromia Innovation Lab launched its second Incubation Program for 2023 to provide talented blockchain entrepreneurs, designers, and developers with the opportunity to prove their ideas and bring their startup visions to life.
According to the announcement, Chromia has completed the first round of the program, with 17 projects from various countries.
Chromia welcomes Premier VC Fund NGC Ventures as a network provider
According to the official announcement, NGC has confirmed their intention to join the Chromia network as a provider. NGC Ventures is one of the world’s largest blockchain and distributed ledger venture groups.
In addition to being a key backer in our private sale, NGC was also an early investor in important ecosystem projects including My Neighbor Alice and Mines of Dalarnia.
